What Sets Us Apart

Located in Ventura County, we are the only oral surgery practice whose office has been accredited as an outpatient surgery facility. In June 2012, our office underwent a survey by the Institute for Medical Quality, which evaluated our ability to provide safe and reliable general anesthesia. The Institute for Medical Quality is one of the four accreditation agencies approved by the California Medical Board.

The accreditation process involved a review of all our procedures, our staff, our policies, and the physical environment.  Even though we make patient safety our highest priority, the accreditation survey gave us a chance to have our peers look over our shoulder and confirm we are doing everything right. 

The surgical team at VC Oral & Facial Surgery has extensive experience in all aspects of outpatient surgery. Each team member has completed the California Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery assistant’s course. In addition, we are one of only a handful of offices in California whose staff members have obtained the new Dental Sedation Assistant Permit (DSAP).
