Upper Blepharoplasty
Many people watch what they eat, exercise regularly and pay attention to their appearance. However, with the aging process, sometimes the skin of the upper eyelid begins to loose its elasticity. This excess skin sags and you have a continous tired look even when you actually feel refreshed. In women, this excess skin makes it difficult to apply make-up to the upper eyelid. With upper eyelid surgery, a small strip of skin and muscle is removed. In some cases, a small amount of fat is also removed. Since bleeding can be a complication with this procedure, we use a radiofrequency microneedle instead of a scalpel to perform this surgery. The microneedle is more precise and minimizes bleeding, and, in many cases, reduces post-operative bruising. There are stitches placed and these stiches are removed in 5 days.
